The Scott ProMBA is designed for U.S. mid-career professionals who hold a bachelor’s degree and meet the program’s prerequisite coursework requirements. While at least three years of professional work experience is preferred, this hybrid, cohort-based program is ideal for those looking to advance their careers. The Scott ProMBA is currently offered in Westfield, Indiana, serving professionals in Indianapolis and the surrounding regions.
Admission Requirements
GMAT/GRE scores are optional and not required for admission to the Scott ProMBA.
- Undergraduate GPA: 2.7 or higher.
- Resume: Submit a professional resume detailing your experience and qualifications.
- Personal Statement: Describe your interest in the program and your career goals.
- Official Transcripts: Required from all previously attended institutions.
- English Proficiency Exam Scores: For international students only.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for regular admission may be considered for conditional admission if there is sufficient evidence of their potential to succeed in the program. Designed for working professionals in the Indianapolis area, the Scott ProMBA offers a flexible schedule that balances work and life commitments. Classes are held one evening per week in Westfield, Indiana, taught by experienced Scott College of Business faculty. The program spans five semesters, with two courses running concurrently each semester, beginning each August.

Study Abroad
Scott ProMBA students have the opportunity to participate in a short-term (10-12 day) study-abroad experience focused on entrepreneurship in an international context. Each May, a group of undergraduate and graduate students travels to a different global destination to explore the culture, business landscape, and entrepreneurial practices outside the United States. Past locations have included Brazil, Portugal, Croatia, and India, among others. While this enriching experience is optional and involves additional fees, it offers a unique chance to gain a global perspective on business.
Program Cost
The Scott ProMBA offers an all-inclusive tuition of approximately $28,000, which covers books, supplies, professional career coaching, and meals on class nights. This comprehensive approach ensures you have everything you need to succeed without additional expenses.

Admission Requirements and Application Instructions
To be considered for admission to the Scott ProMBA, applicants must satisfy the following requirements. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the program.
Admission Requirements
To be considered for regular admission to the ProMBA, an applicant must:
- Have earned a bachelor’s degree and a minimum cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) that meets one of the following:
- 2.7 in all undergraduate coursework
- 3.0 in the last 60 credits of undergraduate coursework
- 3.0 in the applicant’s major field of study
- 3.0 in all courses taken at the graduate level (minimum 9 credit hours).
- Submit a professional resume; at least three years of professional work experience is preferred.
- Demonstrate English Language Proficiency as required by the Office of Graduate Studies (international applicants only).
- Meeting the minimum requirements listed above does not guarantee admission. An admission decision is based upon all previous academic coursework, resume, and, if required, English language proficiency. In some cases, a statement of purpose, personal interview, and/or letters of reference may be requested to support an application.
Students who do not meet the minimum requirements for regular admission may be considered for conditional admission if there is sufficient evidence that the individual is likely to succeed in the program.
Candidates admitted conditionally will be required to meet the conditions of regular admission within a specified time. These conditions may include, but are not limited to, achieving a specified grade point average in graduate coursework and/or successfully completing specified coursework.
If applicable to the Scott MBA, a maximum of six credit hours of graduate coursework taken at an AACSB-accredited school of business may be accepted as transfer credit into the ProMBA program. Applicants would need to submit documentation in support of this request.
Application Instructions
All applicants seeking admission to the Scott ProMBA program must apply to and be accepted as a graduate student by Indiana State University and by the Scott ProMBA program in the Scott College of Business. Some application steps differ for domestic and international applicants.

There is a non-refundable application fee of $93 for domestic applicants and $113 for international applicants, payable at the time of application submission.
Domestic Applicants: Upload official transcripts from all previously attended institutions at the time of application submission.
International Applicants: Upload unofficial transcripts from all previously attended institutions at the time of application submission. Official transcripts will be required if admission is offered. Students who have previously attended Indiana State University do not need to provide transcripts, as we already have access to them.
Submit a professional resume and a personal statement describing your interest in and goals for the program. Both documents should be uploaded at the time of application submission.
Letters of Recommendation are optional. If submitting letters, please email them to admissions@39680a.com.
International Applicants: Please upload a government-issued ID and relevant pages from your passport (including the picture and information pages) with your application.
International applicants are asked to:
- Meet Indiana State University's requirements for English proficiency. Accepted language tests include Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or Duolingo. Upload your official test score report at the time of application submission.
- Proof of financial support should also be uploaded with your application at the time of submission.
The application deadline for the Scott ProMBA is August 1 for the cohort starting that year. However, applicants are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline of June 15 to ensure full consideration for their desired cohort. Application processing typically takes fewer than 30 days.
Next Steps
Once admitted, you will receive notification from the University and will be provided your University ID number, which is needed to activate your University username on the MyISU Portal. The Portal offers access to online registration, University records, and other important services, including e-mail and University announcements.
